My Weekend Project #2: Pouch

Decided to make a new pouch for my husband (sebagai tanda kasih sayang!), and I looked through websites that provides pouch tutorial and I stopped at this one cool website, See Kate Sew. The step-by step instruction makes me want to do it on-the-go!

And here is the result:

I used denim fabric as a whole, and his name on felt.
The inside, some improvement than former pouches I made
Dimension: 9" x 5" - fit all his stationery
He gladly holding it.

It's fun trying!

My Weekend Project #1: Tissue Paper Flower

There have been plenty of weekend projects done, but only now have the time to blog about them. And I start with this tissue paper flower. I googled about tissue and I found a bunch, and somewhat this video caught my eye:

It only took you less than 3 minutes to finish a flower. For a centerpiece like mine above, I spent about an hour though. For an experiment, I used the typical tissue that you blow your nose when you got a cold. Seems like it turn out very pretty. And I decided to go to the next level. I bought four bright-colored tissue from IKEA and walla:

My little daughter was enchanted with the flower. She took one for herself.

Try it and you won't believe that you got the talent as well.

Felt Tissue Box Cover

Plenty of tissue box cover orders lately. It started when I made one for myself, a simple felt turquoise tissue box cover. I measured the real tissue box and turn it into a pattern. I will upload the pattern later, in case you want to make yours yourself. Just haven't find the right time yet to sketch it - in softcopy of course :-(

The rest of the tissue box cover, scroll the mouse:

Another cupcakes in the house

Blue flowers
Spread the cover and it will look like this!
Seems like I am not the only one who loves turquoise!

Ready for shipping!

That's all for now. Love doing it, making my hands numb stitching them :-)

Rilakkuma Felt Pouch

I never heard of Rilakkuma before. So I googled about it and apparently there's a lot who love this little cute bear, including my cousin - well, of course most of them are girls. She wants Rilakkuma to be on her pouch, and thus the results:

With name at the back of her pouches:

The material used is felt, all the appliques and zips were hand-sewn except the pouch itself, machined.

Rilakkuma, yeay!!
