Name Garland for Baby Iman

I like this garland so much. Just because it is fancier with those felt loops and cute buttons.

Made mix and match with felt and fabrics. Letters are handsewn whereby the flags are machined-sewn. Those two flags at the front and end garland are optional. RM5 per letter.

Baby Iman on his aqiqah day. Be a good boy Iman!

Green MiMoo with Choco Spots

This Mimoo is special. To me and to the owner.

To me because this is my first craft with my "sarang craft" label.

To the owner for it is customized to have numbers sewn on its body. From 0 to 9.

The same cuddly mimoo. With curly eye-lashes, cute milk-bag, shaggy tail, material of felt and 100% handmade with love.

I am so glad I was able to sew my label on. Finally. And to enjoy that feeling, the lucky owner does not need to spend a penny on this MiMoo of his. Totally free of charge. Spread the happiness.

All About Pouch

It has been more than a month since I updated the last entry. You can tell by how many pouches I have sewn below. :-)

Okay, let's start with our fabric pouch. I've sewn 50 pieces of them as a doorgift of an event. I used Ikea fabrics for its quirky and creative designs. Love them. A pouch has a standard measurement of 5"x8"x2", and can fit most stationery, cosmetics or even a toothbrush!

Top view
Side view
Inside view - cotton lining

Now let's move on to felt pouch. Each design has a special touch of me. They are of standard size as the above.

Birdies
Cottage
Aeroplane
Marine
These two below are a bit bigger, meant to be an organizer bag. 8"x10"x2".

Cupcake
Paisley
Making those felt pouches are more tricky than fabric's because you have to think of the designs and turn them into reality by hand-sewn them in place. They are surely took more time than sewing all 50 pcs fabric pouches.

Stay tune for more entries. I am one busy woman cum mother cum homemaker cum part-time crafter. :-)

My Weekend Project #7: Rainbow Cloud Baby Rattle

Hello mummies with new born babies!

Let's make a rattle for your precious with colorful rainbow loops for their curious little fingers. Just grab your felt scraps, some stuffing from an old cushion, a scissor, needle and thread. 4 easy steps to follow and it will finish in no time. Well, I finished my rattle in 1 hour ;-)

In fact, it won't necessarily be a cloud. You can free-hand cut whatever shapes you desired such as square, love, lion's face - with rainbow loops around it. On top of that, you can insert two or three jingle bells while you stuffs (step #4). Cool huh?

My daughter with her new rattle.
Make one for your baby. It will be great as a gift too!

Happy trying!

One Small Step Ahead!

It is now or never!

I've been longing to have my own signature label like FOREVER! I always envy those handmade stuffs with this kind of taggy sewn together as a recognition.

It was kind of hurry when I designed the label's artwork because have to catch up with the dateline. So, simple-simple je lah :-)

I am so happy! Therefore...

The first craft that I make with my signature label will be free-of-charge! And I mean it!

Hooray!! Who is the lucky one? Hmm..

Sarang Craft is Official!

Assalamualaikum craft lovers out there!

I am so delightful that I have finally registered Sarang Craft under my very own company, NUHA CIKBAL ENTERPERISE. Nuha and Balqis (I normally address her as CikBal) must be very proud to have their name on it (I love both of you, you made me name my company your name!)

In the mean time, I will launch my own line of nursing wear under the same enterprise, specially designed for petit mum like me, "The Milk Tree". Calling all cute mummies, I will try my best to make your breastfeeding journey easier and more stylish. Till then, be patient.

Now Sarang Craft is official!

Twin roses Wedding Corsage

Last minute request, 4 days before the wedding day (I mean, what?!).

3 days of completion for 20 pieces of corsages, put in every details during my girls' night nap time.

Two simple rolled no-sew roses, two cute buttons, a leaf and a slot for description. I don't have printer at home, hence the hand-writing took place.

You can view them in my facebook album now, Corsage for any event, at my "Sarang Craft by Abby" page. Do drop by.

Roses are red, violets are blue (What's next?).

:-)
